Smart Garage Door

Abstract

This study reports on various applications based on IOT one of the most popular i.e. Smart Garage Door.Smart garage door on todays era plays a vital role in  better security purpose.The concept of IOT is defined as the interconnection  network system between everyday household objects(eg-house appliances,house  doors and garage doors).The concept of the smart phone garage door allows  individuals to operate the door remotely via the use of networking protocols and  IOT sensors.Smart Garage door is to be made by using several technologies ,hardwares and softwares. My project is implemented with the help  of Arduino UNO software,Arduino hardware,sensors,12V Solenoid lock,9V battery,LCD,Wi-fi module,4*4keypad etc.It is used on laptop and smartphone to  operate smart garage door system.Smartphone is handy and it saves time to operate instead it to use garage door manually.In todays era smart home requires  all smart technologies so smartphone is the best way to use smart garage door. The use of IOT in the smart home development has also promoted better  security system and provide convenience for home users.Furthermore,the smart  garage door mitigates the door operation as users can access the garage from  anywhere via a smartphone.A smart garage door allows individuals to control  who accesses your home.For an example,If an individual is going to be away for  the day and need to have a repairmen stop but can’t rush home to let another  individuals in, individual can use the smart garage door to open the garage and  allow them to access and close it again once the job is complete.This smart  garage door keeps the residence safe from intruders,an attractive and properly  working garage door can also improve ones home’s curb appeal,help with  energy savings and increase the home’s value.
