Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled smart city systems offer a transformative approach to Power Distribution (PD), optimizing energy consumption, and enhancing grid stability. This research delves into the architecture, technologies, and benefits of integrating IoT devices and intelligent algorithms within the PD infrastructure. By analyzing real-time data from smart meters, sensors, and weather monitoring systems, the proposed system dynamically adjusts PD  based on demand patterns, grid conditions, and renewable energy generation. The paper also explores the role of  Machine Learning (ML) in predictive maintenance, fault detection, and load forecasting to minimize outages and improve operational efficiency. The findings highlight significant improvements in Energy Efficiency (EE), reduced peak demand, and enhanced grid resilience. The implications of this research extend to the development of sustainable and intelligent urban ecosystems, paving the way for a greener future.
